Collab work

Eekie, Elle, Christina, and Rona worked on two works centred on the concept of artificial intelligence. The artists explored how Exquisite Corpse, a technique used by surrealist illustrators, would transition to the digital medium. This collaborative piece's major feature is the drawing of bodily parts. Working on two works allowed each artist to build on the work of the previous one. They created an image and referenced early kinds of computing, coding, and other pattern-based systems in response to instructions on surveillance capitalism. They had originally created a computer quilt of images that resembled organic materials. The collaboration was an attempt to integrate and emulate nature-like and organic material by overlaying the rigidness of manmade technologies.

This combination of technology and nature reflects current AI developments, which range from mimicking human logic and pattern-based thinking as far back as Aristotle's concept of syllogism to the new approach of creating neural networks that mimic the functioning of neurons in the brain, as well as genetic algorithms. The visuals depicted a fluid substance as well as a vein-like flow of blood-like techno-juice.

As AI evolves, how far can it mimic humans?
